Help us this Christmas

This Christmas you can give more children with cancer the chance to have the best childhood possible.

Become a CLIC Sargent buddy today by making a donation, and you can make a lasting difference to the life of a child or young person with cancer. But you must act now.

Why donate?

Children and young people with cancer tell us that they want to get on with their lives as much as possible. An important part of this can be going to school. But children can worry about bullying, fitting in and catching up with their studies.

Children like Lola, who was teased when she returned to school because her hair had fallen out.

In fact, 47% of parents we surveyed said that their child had grown apart from friends because of their cancer diagnosis and treatment. And 26% reported that their child told them that some of their friends or peers no longer wanted to play or talk with them at school during or after their cancer treatment.

How we help

Our care professionals offer support and practical help. Where possible, they go into schools to help prevent any issues before the child starts back at school.

But we can only be there for two out of three children and young people who need us.

By becoming a buddy today, you can help us to be there for more children like Lola.

It’s so easy to become a buddy:

  • Make a donation online;  or
  • Text CLIC10 £(the amount you wish to give) to 70070; or
  • Call 0845 120 4442

Childhood is such a precious thing – and you can make a difference right here, right now.
