A fund is named after a person and becomes a permanent celebration of them and at the same time will help children and young people with cancer. Parents, friends or families can set up an Especially For You fund in their child’s, friend’s or relation’s name and all their fundraising and that of their family and friends can be attributed to this fund.
You can give your fund a name, like 'Sam Smith’s Fund', 'Grandma’s Memory Fund' or the 'Cooper’s Wedding Fund'. Once set up, any fundraising you or your friends decide to do, will be allocated to your fund.
Then whatever type of fundraising you do, all your fundraising will be linked to your online page. This will allow your fund to display an on-going total for everyone to see on your online page, all in tribute to a special person.
How do I sign up?
Why set up an Especially For You fund?
Here are some reasons why people set up an Especially For You fund:
- Parents set a fund up if their child is currently being helped CLIC Sargent and they and family and friends want to fundraise
- Parents may set a fund up if they previously received support from CLIC Sargent and their child has finished treatment
- People set up a fund in memory of someone special that has passed away, whether they’ve been helped by CLIC Sargent or whether they haven’t been affected themselves and just want to support a good cause
- Others may set one up to celebrate a person for a number of different reasons such as marking a big occasion such as a birthday or wedding.
What do I get once signed up?
Once set up, you’ll have a personalised online website that you can share with friends, relatives and colleagues. You’ll have a unique code which means that all money you and your friends raise will be allocated to your fund. Your fundraising pack will then be posted and your local fundraising manager will be in touch to help you with your fundraising.
