Norwich-based asset finance company Credo Asset Finance began supporting CLIC Sargent in 2013.
Continuing to build upon an already successful partnership with CLIC Sargent which raised over £6,000 between 2013 and 2014, the big-hearted finance firm decided to set themselves an even greater target of £10,000, celebrating their 10th year in business and are now continuing with their fundraising.
Throughout 2015, the intrepid team at Credo Asset Finance organised a number of events and challenges including white water rafting, a golf day, a charity auction and Christmas Bake Off – culminating in a New Year’s Day 10k run.
Marketing executive Fran said: “I’m so proud of the team for achieving this target. It’s been a gruelling year, but has also bought us closer as a team and we had quite a lot of fun along the way!”
Not satisfied with the firm’s incredible fundraising achievements, managing director Simon Gray is topping off the 10th birthday celebrations by taking on his greatest challenge to date: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for CLIC Sargent.
Simon said: “It's been a dream of mine for years to trek Kilimanjaro and anything we raise through donations will go straight to those who need it; supporting CLIC Sargent’s vital work supporting young people with cancer and their families.”
MP for Norwich Chloe Smith even felt moved to commend Credo Asset Finance on their contributions to the community.
Miss Smith said: “It’s great to see a local company achieve such good things for an important cause.
"I congratulate the whole team on what they’ve done. I tried Kilimanjaro myself for charity too and I wish Simon well!”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Daisy Turner said: “The passion and enthusiasm shown by the team to improve the lives of children and young people with cancer is truly inspiring and on behalf of the charity, I’d like to thank Simon for choosing to support CLIC Sargent.”
