How we help
Since it opened in 1993, CLIC Court has offered free accommodation to over 1,000 families.
In the last year alone, 75 families from across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties stayed at CLIC Court.
When 17 year old Charlotte from Northamptonshire was diagnosed with cancer, CLIC Court was able to provide her family with somewhere to live whilst she received treatment.
Her mother, Jo explains: “We stayed at CLIC Court during Charlotte’s treatment and it was a complete lifeline for us. It wasn’t a clinical place at all and really became our home for six weeks.”
Charlotte added: “CLIC Sargent’s Home from Home meant that I was able to have all my family with me when I really needed them most.”
CLIC Court birthday plans
CLIC Sargent fundraising manager, Claire Shovelton explained: “We’re all really excited about CLIC Court’s birthday this February. We are really hoping to raise lots of awareness locally about the birthday celebrations and would be delighted if local people helped us out!”
As well as hosting a birthday tea party on 7 February for CLIC Court staff, volunteers and special guests, CLIC Sargent is inviting people to celebrate this landmark occasion by making a birthday donation or organising their own event.
A ‘Design a birthday card’ competition is also being organised and we are looking for budding artists aged between four and 16 years of age to take part.
There are prizes to be won and the winning design will be displayed at CLIC Court and showcased on the CLIC Sargent website.
For more information on how to enter, please visit the CLIC Court birthday card competition page.
