Need a holiday?

When a member of the family has cancer it’s difficult even to plan a holiday, let alone pack up and go away. But Lisa and Kane from Nottingham found the perfect way for their whole family to relax and enjoy themselves… a CLIC Sargent Holiday.

"Our holiday at Malcolm Sargent House was fantastic! In fact we’ve visited three times…with all three of our children, Charlotte 16, Marcus 10 and George 6.

Malcolm Sargent House is like nowhere else, not just for Marcus who has cancer, but for all of us. We can completely relax knowing that support is on hand if Marcus needs it and the staff are genuinely caring. No-one stares at us because our child has no hair or gets sick, because all families are in the same boat and understand completely."

Full board

Malcolm Sargent House in Ayrshire offers family centred breaks and specialist weekends for young people, siblings, and bereaved families. All meals are provided. Families can simply relax and take in the beautiful views of the Firth of Clyde and Isle of Arran. Or they can opt for a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages - including cycling, arts, crafts and team games organised within the house.

Everyone there is in a similar situation, making it easy to share feelings and experiences. With medical support close at hand if necessary, families are in safe hands.

Luxury self-catering

Families can also opt for one of our luxury self-contained caravans in Exmouth (Devon), Pagham (West Sussex), Fleetwood (Lancashire) or Filey (Yorkshire).

They are located on well-equipped holiday parks, close to beaches and small towns, meaning there’s a range of activities right on the doorstep. Each caravan has three bedrooms and sleeps up to six people. There’s a modern kitchen and comfortable lounge.

Is it really free to go on a CLIC Sargent Holiday?

Yes. Holidays are one of a range of services provided by CLIC Sargent.

How long can I stay?

Malcolm Sargent House and the CLIC Sargent Holiday Homes are available for week long stays.

What if families can’t afford to get there?

Families may be eligible to apply for a CLIC Sargent Care Holiday Travel Grant to cover some of the expenses.
