These annual meetings, run by survivors, for survivors provide an opportunity for people from all over the world to meet and learn about issues related to their disease and its treatment. ICCCPO is a good place to hear about how survivors groups work in different countries, and get ideas about how to start a survivors group in your area. Besides being informative, these conferences provide the opportunity to meet and make friends with people who have had similar experiences to you.
