Friends and family of young Tegan, from Cornwall, who is being treated for leukeamia, joined together to ride the 37 miles from Lands End to Treliske Hospital to raise funds for CLIC Sargent and Sennen Ward at Treliske Hospital.
Starting at 9am on Saturday 2 August 2008 at Lands End the group of six novice riders pedalled their hearts out whilst braving the 37 miles, accompanied en route by their support vehicle.
Tegan's mum says: "We are raising money for CLIC Sargent and the Sennen Ward at Treliske Hospital in Truro. This is our way of saying a big thank you for the care and hard work they do for the children and support for the families. Because without dedicated people like them we would not know how to cope with such serious illnesses, as our daughter Tegan and other children are going through."
The Riders were :
- Stephen, Tegan's dad
- Jon Jones, Tegan's uncle
- Dr Karl Rathbone, family friend
- Ian Jackson, family friend
- Nigel Roberts, family friend
- Malcolm Miles, family friend
