Well established South West bakers, Parsons Bakery, will be supporting CLIC Sargent’s Yummy Mummy Week fundraising campaign for a second consecutive year, to help raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer.
During Yummy Mummy Week, taking place between 10 – 18 March 2012, Parsons Bakery will be calling on cake lovers across the South West to visit one of their 24 stores in Bristol, Gloucestershire and Somerset to sample one of their ‘Yummy Mummy Cupcakes.’
The family run business, which has been in operation for more than 100 years, will be donating 10p from the sale of every cupcake priced at 65p.
Nick Parsons, Managing Director says, “We are glad to be supporting such a worthwhile cause for a second year at our bakeries across the South West. Last year, sales of our Yummy Mummy cupcakes led to over £500 being donated to CLIC Sargent, so we are hoping for an even more successful year this year.”
Sophie Porfirio, Area Fundraising Manager for CLIC Sargent in the South West says, “We are delighted to have the support of Parsons Bakery again for our Yummy Mummy Week campaign. Their Yummy Mummy cupcakes should give everyone a great excuse to treat themselves this March, safe in the knowledge that they’ll also be helping CLIC Sargent to provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to children, young people with cancer and their families.
“I hope mums from across the region are also inspired to join the fun and choose to ‘do something yummy’ themselves by registering for Yummy Mummy Week.”
Yummy Mummy Week is a fun-packed fundraising campaign all about mums doing something yummy for children and young people with cancer, whilst spending quality time with their children, family and friends. Anything from hosting a cake sale to a pamper party goes. The money raised will help CLIC Sargent continue to be there from the point of diagnosis to support the whole family in coping with the impact of cancer, its treatment and life after treatment.
As well as hosting fundraising events, people can also support the campaign by purchasing gifts from the Yummy Mummy product range. With something to suit every mum and all budgets, finding a gift for Mother’s Day couldn’t be simpler.
