Local beauty salon do something yummy to fundraise for children and young people with cancer

Sarah Green from Yummy Mummy Hair & Beauty in Taunton is calling on people across the area to support her bid to raise money for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people.

Sarah is hosting a pamper evening at the salon for her second consecutive year, as part of Yummy Mummy Week, which runs from Saturday 10 March to Sunday 18 March (Mother’s Day).

The fun-packed fundraising campaign is all about mums doing something yummy for children and young people with cancer, whilst spending quality time with their children, family and friends. The money raised will help CLIC Sargent continue to be there from the point of diagnosis to support the whole family in coping with the impact of cancer, its treatment and life after treatment.

Women are being invited to come along for an evening of makeovers, hairstyling, cocktails and an auction with a selection of Yummy prizes on offer!

It will all take place at Yummy Mummy Hair & Beauty, The Courtyard Shops along St James Street in Taunton on Friday 16 March. The salon will also be donating £2 to CLIC Sargent for every Mothers Day Pamper Package sold.

Sarah said,  “Sharing a great name, I couldn’t turn down taking part in Yummy Mummy Week last year, especially with it supporting such a worthy cause. Our pamper evening was a big hit with our customers last year so we saw no reason not to join in the fun again this year. Our guests enjoyed sparkling cocktails, canapés, some fantastic raffle prizes and of course some much deserved pampering.

"Our beauticians managed to pamper more than 25 women over two hours and provided over 35 treatments – approximately one every four minutes! This year’s evening promises to be just as indulgent, we can’t wait!”
