Heavy rain didn't dampen spirits at the 12th annual Dragon Boat Regatta in aid of CLIC Sargent.
Hundred of umbrellas were hoisted aloft around Gloucester Docks on Sunday 17th May as the audience watched more than 300 people take to the waters.
Steve Markham, Chairman of the CLIC Sargent Gloucester branch was pleased with the event despite the conditions. He said: "It really is wonderful and is undoubtedly one of the best events held at the Docks.
"People enjoy it; both the spectators and those in the boats and most importantly, it raises loads of money for CLIC Sargent."
Since 1998 the event has raised more than £200,000 for CLIC Sargent, with the 2009 event hoping to raise £30,000 for the charity.
"Unfortunately the weather probably put a few people off but there was still a good turnout besides," said Mr Markham.
"The event brings so much colour to the Docks, it's fabulous."
As well as the boat racing, there were also numerous stalls at the Docks, joining a trampoline, food stalls and also free face painting provided by Jump Bristol.
