CLIC Sargent supporter Gaye Blackmore and a group of friends from Wroughton in Wiltshire organised and posed for a calendar, which has raised more than £4,000 for children with cancer.
The ‘ladies in lace’ chose a Victorian theme using black and white photography and posed in period costume. The calendar has proved extremely popular throughout their village and beyond and sales have exceeded expectations. At a recent presentation evening in their local pub they handed over £4,400 to CLIC Sargent.
Gaye, the group leader, said, “This has been great fun. We all enjoyed the photography session and the reception by our friends and neighbours has been outstanding. We are really going to have to come up with a brilliant idea for next year to top this!”
A big thank you to all the ladies for their fantastic efforts!
