CLIC Sargent entered a South Wales cancer self-help group for a national volunteer award. The 151 Club, who are all cancer survivors and over 60, fundraise for CLIC Sargent and for Bobath – a cerebral palsy charity – and have been going for just over a year.
In that year they have raised nearly £10,000 for the two charities. They survived the selection process until they were in last three for the title of ‘Most Admired Group’ – and came second. They were presented with their award last week and were delighted to have been so publicly recognised at the WCVA national conference in Llandudno.
