25 runners from the London Metropolitan Police are running the Flora London Marathon 2008 as a chain gang to beat the world record. They are raising money to help CLIC Sargent along the way and aim to raise a fantastic £50,000.

All of the members of the team are involved in policing in London.  Most work in and around the Westminster area of the city.  They have chosen to take on the challenge to beat the current world record held by a chain of robbers, set in the 2007 Flora London Marathon!

Make a donation to help the team reach their target by visiting www.justgiving.com/TEAMTYBURN.

Charity Ball

The team are holding a Charity Ball on Friday 28th March to help raise sponsorship for their challenge.  The Ball is being held at the Thomas Lord Suite of Lords Cricket Ground.  There will be a three course dinner, auction and disco included.  Find out more and purchase tickets by contacting Sarah Philippe at sarah.philippe@met.police.uk
