Grass Roots, a performance improvement company will be supporting CLIC Sargent as its chosen charity for a second year in 2010.
To date Grass Roots has raised over £12,000 for CLIC Sargent. Staff in the Tring, Wendover and Aylesbury offices have held many fundraising events including Grass Roots Got Talent and a cake bake competition. They have also donated Christmas presents to children staying at the paediatric oncology wards at UCLH, funded a theatre trip to London to see Billy Elliot and organised a James Bond 007 themed duck tour for children at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
CLIC Sargent has been able to put the green fingers of some of the Grass Roots staff to the test by organising volunteering gardening days at the CLIC Sargent's Oxford Home from Home, CLIC Court. Over the past year they have helped to transform the garden into a space that families who are staying there can enjoy and relax in.
CLIC Sargent would like to thank everyone at Grass Roots for their continued generosity and enthusiasm and in particular, the Community Action Team for making it all possible.
Bring on the New Year!
