Congratulations to Matt and Jess Loughrey who completed their Lands End to John o’Groats Bike Ride in memory of Emily Loughrey.
Matt and his team raised a staggering £56,000 for CLIC Sargent. Support for their appeal, which was supported by their local paper, The Medway Messenger, was incredible and people from across Medway pitched in to fundraise and support the cyclists.
Congratulations and a huge thank you to Matt’s wife Caroline who provided invaluable support and co-ordinated the back up team as well as supporting Matt and Jess on the ride.
Matt’s next challenge is to cycle for Medway to Gibraltar in June 2009!
Once again he will be supporting CLIC Sargent and has set himself a target of £5000. Keep up with Matt’s adventures by checking his blog http://chatham-gibraltar.blogspot.com/

Dan Powell of CLIC Sargent said: “What Matt, Jess and Caroline have achieved is amazing. Not only cycling the length of the country but also to raise such a huge amount of money for CLIC Sargent is fantastic. A huge thank you from all of us at CLIC Sargent and good luck for your Gibraltar trip!”
