Staff from Axiom Architects in Lewes, recently handed over a cheque for more than £5,600 to CLIC Sargent, after rallying around at a go-karting fundraising day.
Axiom Architects hosted the race day and invited their consultants and clients to take part. Entrants were then asked to consider making a donation to CLIC Sargent. More than 20 companies accepted the challenge, helping to raise more than £5,600 for CLIC Sargent.
Dan Powell, CLIC Sargent’s local community fundraising manager who attended the event, says: “Axiom Architects go-karting day was a great success. On behalf of CLIC Sargent I’d like to say a massive thank you as donations like this are extremely important for our charity. They help us to provide services such as the nurse and social worker both based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Brighton. These care professionals make a real difference to children undergoing traumatic treatment for cancer and it’s down to donations like this that we are able to continue funding them.”
Axiom Architects has supported CLIC Sargent for the past three years and staff have previously taken part in abseils and every year donate the cost of Christmas cards to help raise money.
