For the first time ever a spectacular zip slide was staged across the beautiful River Ness by CLIC Sargent at the end of August.
To add to the atmosphere The Trybe from Stonehaven were playing their drums and their leading piper, Skirlie, not only belted out some cracking tunes, but also zipped across the river not once but twice playing his bagpipes, as the photographer missed him the first time!
There were several families involved that CLIC Sargent had helped in the Highlands and many zip slide participants in fancy dress from Batman and Robin to various fairies and bees!
The event has raised £10,000 to help children with cancer, and worked very well alongside the raft race, with no rafters knocked off their fine vessels.
CLIC Sargent would like to thank www.northsport.com and the zip sliding bag pipe player!
