Local ladies enjoyed a very indulgent afternoon of pampering at Express by Holiday Inn at Stoneyfield in Inverness. The event, which took place on Saturday 17th May raised a worthy £910 for CLIC Sargent.
Evelyn Stewart, a CLIC Sargent Care Professional from the local hospital at Raigmore was one of the ladies who enjoyed treatments ranging from manicures to make up, neck and shoulder massage, iris analysis to hot stone therapies, facials and much more.
A group of seven ladies and one of their granddaughters finished off their Pamper Day in style, after winning a ride in a luxury pink limousine whilst sipping champagne, kindly donated by Executive Stretch Limos.
Peter Logie, CLIC Sargent’s Community Fundraising Manager for Highlands and Islands and Moray says: “Express by Holiday Inn have been supporting the Charity for a while and came up with this idea, which was a first for the Charity in the north of Scotland.
"Ina Davies, General Manager had been working the staff so hard that they felt an afternoon of luxury was overdue! CLIC Sargent is hugely grateful to the hotel's staff and CLIC Sargent Volunteer, Sally Thomson, who organised the Pamper Day. Beauty and pampering is not exactly my field of speciality!"
Having a child with cancer can be very stressful for some families. It was great to see some of the mums CLIC Sargent is supporting, able to enjoy an afternoon of much needed relaxation and pampering."
Ina Davies from Express by Holiday Inn says: "We had been working with CLIC Sargent for a number of years now and felt we could host something with a difference. The Pamper Day was a great day and we all really enjoyed our treatments! CLIC Sargent is such a worth while charity and the event was so much fun that we definitely want to do it again."
