Claire Gray and Karen Heathcote from Elgin, near Inverness left working behind the bar at JD Weatherspoons Muckle Cross pub, and took a dive into the shark infested waters for CLIC Sargent. The duo braved the shark cave dive and raised £3,000.

The pair organised a whole series of events ranging from car boots to home baking, pub treasure hunts to sponsored distillery walks to rake in the pounds for their gallant efforts.

Peter Logie, CLIC Sargent’s Community Fundraising Manager for Highlands & Islands and Moray says: “The support from JD Weatherspoons for CLIC Sargent over the last six years has been magnificent and Claire and Karen’s effort was outstanding.”

Karen says: ” The most exhilarating bit was when you were in the cage and could have reached out to pat the Great White Shark on its nose!”, and Claire says: ”It was the most amazing experience of my life and I would definitely do it again.” top of page
