  The Highlands’ top radio station Moray Firth Radio (MFR) has decided to support CLIC Sargent with their second ever Charity Appeal on Friday 30th March. MFR celebrate their 30th Birthday in 2012 and to mark the occasion they want folk to get involved and help raise vital funds for children with cancer in the north of Scotland and their families. • Businesses in Aberdeen show their support for CLIC Sargent at Christmas-time

  Companies in Aberdeen have been making a difference this festive season, with several sizeable donations to support children with cancer and their families. When BG Group’s offshore team on the Lomond Platform reached a safety milestone in December 2011, they nominated CLIC Sargent to receive a £1,000 donation in celebration of their achievement. BP made sure CLIC Sargent benefitted after their annual Christmas party, raising £2,288 in the raffle. And Craig Group ended the year by supporting the charity with a very generous £2,000 donation. Framo Engineering decided to donate to CLIC Sargent instead of sending Christmas cards, and raised an impressive £300. And finally Aker Solutions made a donation of £1,000 to CLIC Sargent after their clients Nexen asked for a donation to be made instead of spending the cash on festive corporate entertainment (Dale Harris, Vice President – Projects at Aker Solutions is pictured handing over the cheque to CLIC Sargent). Community Fundraising Manager Jo Robinson said, ‘We have welcomed many new corporate supporters in 2011, and we are particularly grateful to have so much support at Christmas time, when families dealing with childhood cancer need us more than ever. • Well fans 'walk back in time' for CLIC Sargent

• Christmas Carol Concerts

  Music for your ears at Christmas. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit this December than enjoying the seasonal melodies of local choirs singing traditional carols. CLIC Sargent Christmas concerts, featuring popular tunes from CLIC Sargent hospital choirs and school children, will be taking place in cities across the country, including Inverness, Elgin, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee.
