Russ Smith and Pat Deakin from Blackpool have decided to take on an extreme adventure in the name of charity and climb Mount Everest.

These two men will go without their usual beer, TV, driving too quickly, being rockstars and fast food for 17 days to raise money for CLIC Sargent and Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

Pat and Russ will take on this mammoth climb next April 2009 and are currently in tough training for the event. This challenge is certainly not a walk in the park and Russ and Pat will have to prepare for a mountain hiking that will test their stamina and energy, not to mention overcoming altitude sickness.

Russ and Pat are raising money for CLIC Sargent and Rosemere Cancer Foundation. All costs have been covered by themselves meaning that all the money raised will go directly to CLIC Sargent and Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
