Century Radio, the north west commercial radio station, has handed over a cheque to CLIC Sargent for £110,000 after a hugely successful official charity partnership in 2008.

Throughout the year CLIC Sargent received Century 105.4’s support in a range of events including the Liverpool Santa Dash and CLIC Sargent’s national football fundraising event Kick for Children with Cancer.

Century Radio’s own fundraising initiative Bring a £ to Work Day was the biggest individual money-spinner, raising £77,000 from 900 individual businesses across the north west in just one day.

CLIC Sargent would like to give huge thanks to Century Radio and their listeners for their support and hard work throughout 2008. The charity partnership has raised a phenomenal amount of money to help CLIC Sargent to help children and young people with cancer and their families in the north west.
