CLIC Sargent in Northern Ireland held its annual ball recently at the Stormont Hotel Belfast to raise money for children with cancer.
Two hundred people attended the Out of Africa themed night raising over £31,000 for CLIC Sargent. Guests enjoyed a wine reception and music from a local school drumming group, an African drummer as well as dancing to the band, Chapter Five. The star auction prize on the night was a nine night holiday in South Africa, which fetched a fantastic £4,300.
However, the highlight of the night was when 27-year-old, Philip Stephens spoke about the support he got from CLIC Sargent after being diagnosed with cancer when he was 12-years-old. Philip received a standing ovation from the guests.
