The Booth family from Suffolk have been receiving support from CLIC Sargent and Ian and Tracy both work for Ipswich Borough Council.
Major road works are currently taking place in the centre of Ipswich and Ian asked if we had a banner that could be put up on site while work is being carried out. The council then invited the Mayor of Ipswich to attend for a photo-call.
The site is a prominent road in the centre of the city which now not only has a 10ft CLIC Sargent banner across the railing but also has the workmen in fuchsia pink hi-vis jackets which say ’working with the borough and CLIC Sargent’ on the back of them. One workman even dyed his hair pink for the photo!
All the shops along the road had their staff in pink and a competition has been launched to guess how many bricks it will take to finish the pedestrian area. Several suppliers have made donations to CLIC Sargent and one has provided a £1K prize for the winner!!
This is a great example of the council, community and suppliers all working together to support the charity.
