St Edmunds Wheel held their annual cycle, walk and relay event on Sunday 8th June.
All the money raised from the relay event will come to CLIC Sargent and participants of the cycles and walks could nominate their own charity with many choosing CLIC Sargent. The event started in the beautiful Abbey Gardens with over 300 cyclists taking part with a choice of 15 miles, 50 or 100 miles!
The races were all started by local 11 year old Rory Pettit, who is 21 months out of treatment for a rare form of cancer which left him needing to learn to walk again. Rory is an amazing young man who also set himself the challenge of completing the 15 miles and I am delighted to say that one extremely tired young man succeeded!
The event was attended by the local radio station and two newspapers which was a great opportunity for CLIC Sargent to make more people aware of the work we do.
