The final of the Summer Sixes recently took place at the British Sugar Sports and Social Club in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. This annual event organised by Colin Green has gradually grown over the years with an additional league being added this year.
Over the last four years the Summer Sixes have raised a considerable amount of money for CLIC Sargent with this year being the best so far raising a fantastic £5,150. This year one pub in particular, the Red House in Stanningfield, Suffolk, raised a staggering £1,032 through holding a fundraising event which involved a BBQ, live band and local man, Mickey growing his beard and hair and then having them shaved off!
The total amount raised now stands at over £16,000 - a tremendous achievement and thank you to everyone who has taken part and helped make this possible.
Special thanks to Colin who’s dedication has made this annual event such a great success.
