A recent golf day raised a fantastic £2,800 for CLIC Sargent.

The event was organised by Cambridgeshire police officers Steve Gedney and Mike Dyke and held at the Cambridge National Golf Club in Toft.

Mr Gedney said: "Someone from the police has organised these golf days every year for the last 45 years to raise money for various children's charities. This year's event went really well, with about 80 people taking part."

The event was held in support of Liam Fairhursts’ fundraising.  Liam attended the event with his dad Mark and brother Callum and had a golf lesson with the club’s professional, Craig Watson.

A raffle and auction was held, with several prizes donated by local businesses.
