CLIC Sargent is delighted Barry Donovan, the Treasurer for CLIC Sargent's Colchester & Tendring Fundraising Committee, has been awarded an MBE for services to charity in the New Year Honours List.
This a well deserved tribute as Barry is treasurer of seven different local charitable groups ranging from CLIC Sargent to preserving local historic buildings and quietly gives 120% to all of them not expecting any recognition.
Margaret, his wife, said that in all the years they had been together, it was the first time she had ever known Barry to be speechless!
