"CLIC Sargent is very close to my heart indeed. The work they do is utterly invaluable, not just to the children they help but to the families who need so much support at such a difficult time. I have seen some of the inspirational specialist cancer nurses in action, witnessed the attentive care given at the Homes from Home like Sam’s House in Bristol and I never cease to be amazed at the work CLIC Sargent does. I’m 100% behind supporting such a worthwhile cause."

"The stories one hears about families dealing with a child with cancer are moving and, as a parent of two small boys, I can imagine only too clearly what a strain it must be. Over the past five years as a patron, I have visited CLIC Sargent children in Great Ormond Street and have met many others at fundraising events and I am always moved by their bravery and spirit.
"I am lucky; I have an exciting job, which I adore and which takes me around the world. If, by volunteering some of my time to raise funds for CLIC Sargent, I can help to improve the lives of the children and their families, then it seems to me a wholly worthwhile enterprise."

"Every day I protect my children and family from bumps, falls and busy roads. But cancer just creeps from within, the best mother in the world can't stop it and that terrifies me. Through CLIC Sargent I have seen the incredible strength and faith needed for a family to cope with a very sick child.
"I have seen the way this illness pulls normal life apart. Recently, as a family, we supported close friends as they endured the awful illness of a member of their family. They needed beds for the night at short notice, help interpreting the medical information, lifts back and forwards to the hospital, help working out the suddenly tight finances and very strong shoulders to lean on. We did the best we could, but I have seen CLIC Sargent do it brilliantly time after time.
"My whole family are now involved with supporting CLIC Sargent. I am passionate about fund raising for them - getting lots of people to give a little is my philosophy! I am determined that no family with a sick child would be alone because there just isn't the money. When CLIC Sargent ask for our time and energy we give it and we are thankful that they are there."
