Local fundraiser Julie-Ann Hornsby from Northampton is planning a charity event in aid of CLIC Sargent this September, with the aim of raising £3000 to help children and young people with cancer.
The charity event will include a DJ and raffle and is hoped to attract more than 100 people. The event takes place at the Barratts Club in Northampton from 8pm – 11.30pm on Friday 2 September and has already received fantastic support from local businesses and individuals who have donated raffle prizes and helped with printing costs.
Julie-Ann commented “I was inspired to fundraising for CLIC Sargent following a meeting I had with my company, Partylite who has chosen to support CLIC Sargent for the last few years. Hearing the difficulties families face when their child is diagnosed really made me want to help in someway, which is how I came up with the charity event for CLIC Sargent.
“The support from local businesses and individuals has been fantastic and I have even found a printing company, Cards Made Easy, which kindly printed flyers, posters and business cards to help promote my event. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported the event so far.”
If you would like to support Julie-Ann’s event on the 2 September you can purchase tickets for £2 in advance (or £4 on the door), by contacting her directly on 07769 337618.
Thank you Julie-Ann for supporting CLIC Sargent!
