Elaine and Adam’s son Aaron was diagnosed with leukaemia when he was 10.
On Christmas Day 2005, Elaine noticed a rash on Aaron’s hips. She took him to their local hospital and he was referred to the main hospital where bone marrow tests confirmed it was leukaemia. Then his year-long course of chemotherapy began.
Elaine says, “Just after Aaron was diagnosed, we were introduced to CLIC Sargent and since then their help and support has been amazing.

Elaine’s family was also given a financial grant to help with the costs of changing the house and buying a bed to meet Aaron’s new needs.
“Before Aaron was diagnosed with leukaemia, I had never heard of CLIC Sargent. Now that I’ve seen first hand exactly what they do and what a difference they make, I can’t sing their praises enough.”
