Arthur Numan (Holland and Rangers) and Tom Boyd (Scotland and Celtic) and the Lanarkshire Football Development Association
Dave McKenna, Development Officer for the LFDA says:
"We held a game to kick off the "Lanarkshire Football Development Association CLIC Sargent weekend". We asked all of the children playing across Lanarkshire to donate £1 to support the cause.
"Everyone at the game had a great time despite the freezing cold. The children were very pleased to be able to help other children and their families... The fact that it was children helping children struck a chord and we hope to continue with our support in the long term.
"The game and the weekend were easy to organise, mainly thanks to the wonders of the Internet and websites! We fully expect to raise several thousand pounds."
