So what is so different about these shin pads?  Firstly it’s a shin protection system in two parts:  a breathable under section fits securely around the leg from the top of the calf down to the top of the ankle.

This provides a secure and comfortable base for the shield part of the system to be attached to the shin area.  In turn, this provides a comfortable, lightweight system, which can be fitted in a matter of seconds and completely eliminates the need for tape to keep the guard in place.  This also provides a more constant area for protection (as it doesn’t move or slide around the leg).
