There is no better way to banish away the New Year’s Day cobwebs than a quick dip in Portrush Sea. CLIC Sargent, children and young people’s cancer charity is calling for local people to brave the elements and sign up for a sponsored dip at Portrush East Strand Beach to raise money for children and young people with cancer.
The dip is taking place from 2pm on the 1 January 2013 and like any traditional dip, all participants can warm up with a cup of something festive afterwards. Fancy dress is optional! Participants are asked to pay a registration fee of £10 and should aim to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship.
