This wonderful festive family concert incorporates a choir of over 1500 school children performing alongside professional singers.
CLIC Sargent’s annual Christmas concert at the Royal Albert Hall is an extremely popular event with our supporters. The Christmas Celebration is held in conjunction with Young Voices, an organisation dedicated to bringing song and music into the lives of children throughout the UK. The event which features a 1500 strong choir of children from schools throughout the London area, was in 2007 headlined by the hugely popular Lee Ryan.
The show presents a host of professional singers and variety performances including circus acts and dance groups, making this a thoroughly modern and highly entertaining way to celebrate the festive season. This year will see the 40th anniversary of the concert, and we hope to celebrate this momentous occasion with the best concert ever.
Past concerts have attracted a host of star supporters amongst the 4500 strong audience, with recent attendees including Lady Helen Taylor, CLIC Sargent Ambassador, Cherie Booth QC, CLIC Sargent Patron and Annie Lennox. This year’s event is sure to be no exception, with celebrities hoping to help ensure the Christmas Celebration will once again be a resounding success for CLIC Sargent and the many hundreds of families it aids and supports. To this end we also invite 100 of our families going through treatment at the London based hospitals to enjoy the evening. Last year’s concert raised over £140,000 for the Charity.
