Home > Get involved > Campaign with us > Parents right to care >CLIC Sargent’s Work Care Balance survey in 2006 showed that parents of a child with cancer often find themselves torn between their work and wanting to be at their child’s side. At a time of increasing financial stress, many parents feel they lose out in terms of income and work prospects.
CLIC Sargent is campaigning for a full package of workplace rights and paid carers’ leave to be available to the parents of children with cancer. We are asking the Government to support these aims and to ensure that Parents Have a Right to Care.
A booklet outlining entitlements to flexible working will soon be available to download from this page. To receive a paper copy please call our Child Cancer Helpline on 0800 197 0068, or email helpline@clicsargent.org.uk stating that you would like to receive the "Guide to Parental Leave and Flexible Working" booklet.
