In line with her adrenalin-fuelled, go-getting nature, fashion designer, Zoe Jordan, has signed up for this year’s Bath Half Marathon, which she will be running in support of CLIC Sargent.
Daughter of well known F1 Racing Legend, Eddie Jordan, Zoe was inspired to sign up to the event following her ‘Christmas indulgences’ and to get into shape for her next goal, the Virgin London Marathon, which she is also running for the Charity.
Zoe, who will be running the half marathon with boyfriend, Steve, explains why CLIC Sargent is so close to her heart:
“I have basically grown up with CLIC Sargent, so I have seen first hand all the time, effort and generous donations my family and friends have given and their amazing achievements. It's a fabulous charity and so many lives have been touched that I wanted to do my bit. I also heard so many heart-warming and sad stories on the CLIC Sargent Machu Picchu fundraising trek, that I felt so inspired to carry on supporting this fantastic charity.
Running the Bath Half appeals to Zoe in other ways. She continues, “Bath is a beautiful city and it’s a good excuse to rummage around all the antique stores and make a fun weekend of it!”
Kayley Waller, Running Events Coordinator, CLIC Sargent says, “We are really grateful to Zoe and Steve for the support that they are showing the Charity by running the Bath Half. We are also very grateful to all the other CLIC Sargent runners who will be taking part in the event. Their support will really help young cancer sufferers and their families.
“For those runners who have their own places but have not yet decided on a charity, why not choose CLIC Sargent? We offer all our runners a free fundraising pack and vest. You can also join us in our marquee before and after the race for refreshments and a free massage.”
Zoe and Steve will join a further 120 participants who are running the Bath Half for CLIC Sargent. Last year the Charity raised, £25,000 from this event and this year the Charity hopes to reach a higher target of £30,000.
