CLIC Sargent is calling on romantics with a head for heights to take part in an adrenalin-fuelled abseil to raise money for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The Lovers of Life Valentine's Weekend Abseil will see brave souls descend a nail-biting 130ft from the Riverside House in Millbank, London on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th February from 9.30 am to 4.30pm. The event is kindly sponsored by the Heathrow branch of Foresters.
Clare Norrish, Event Fundraising Manager for CLIC Sargent, said: “The Lovers of Life Valentine's Weekend Abseil is a wonderful opportunity to really help make a difference to those families whose lives have been affected by childhood cancer, and a totally unique way to spend Valentine’s Day!
“Whether you are planning a romantic surprise for a loved one, or if you are taking it on as a personal challenge, sign up as soon as possible as places are limited!”
The abseil is open to anyone over the age of 16 and can be completed either in couples or individually. Each participant will receive a free CLIC Sargent t-shirt and is required to pay a registration fee of £20 and raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship per person.
