The Big Sing is back and set to smash the 2005 Guinness World Record for the biggest simultaneous sing along. On Thursday November 27 2008 at 2:45pm schools all over the country will be joined together in song to break the current world record and raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, CLIC Sargent and Youth Music.
The choir will be led by multi award winning singer/songwriter Des'ree who will perform a specially commissioned version of her worldwide smash hit You Gotta Be live from The 02 arena in London.
Des'ree had said she would never sing the track again, leaving pop music to pursue other projects. However, she simply could not turn down the opportunity to help and be a part of such a worthy cause, and so she is back to sing one last time.
Joining Des'ree on stage are a host of established and upcoming talent from a variety of genres including guitar/pop band The Kixx, violin superstar In-Cha and classical star Summer Watson.
The Big Sing brings together two music organisations, Youth Music and Young Voices in a collaboration dedicated to involving school children in a fun and memorable community project. Along with charities Marie Curie Cancer Care and CLIC Sargent they are inviting every child and school to get involved in the record breaker.
Join up by visiting the Big Sing website: www.bigsing.com and register to be a record breaker today.
