All this month, fierce bidding by over half million Mel B fans from across the globe has helped raise £60,000 for CLIC Sargent, as everything from her former home in Buckinghamshire went on sale at melbsale.com.

The sale, which ended last Sunday 26 October 2008, to help raise money for children with cancer, included some of Mel B’s most iconic Spice Girls costumes as well as more household items such as cutlery and a washing machine.

As the sale comes to an end, the contents of her former house are heading to destinations across the globe.

Mel B’s famous 16 foot long bespoke table with 16 handmade chairs (as featured on MTV Cribs) that had been the centrepiece for many a Spice Girl get together at Mel B's house, is now on its way to a mansion in Bulgaria. It even came with a Spice Girl wine stain or two!

A last minute extended bidding war between two remaining bidders meant the price shot up selling for £3,260.

Mel's personal Bechstein Baby Grand Piano complete with matching white leather piano stool was sold for £9,000 to a rich piano-playing philanthropist living in Norfolk.

Following an appearance on ITV’s This Morning, the fake fur two piece that Mel B wore in the video for Who Do you think you are raised nearly £600 and has ended up in Dubai.

The iconic tribal necklace that Mel B wore in the video for Say you'll be there and for her appearance at the Brit Awards in 1997, is on its way to America.

The iconic Stop coat and green boots from the first Spice Girls tour went to a Spice Girls museum in the North of England .

But that’s not the end! If anyone missed out this time round, they will have the chance to bid in December for further items such as a larger than life chess set, some Dolce and Gabbana boots worn during the Reunion Tour and an Aprilia Moto 6.5 Motorbike which Mel B used to ride around the grounds of her British home.  Look out on www.melbsale.com for up to date details.

On hearing how successful the sale had been, Mel B commented: “I am thrilled that so many people around the world got involved with the Mel B sale and that such a fantastic amount of money has been raised for CLIC Sargent.”

Jeremy Lune, Head of Retail at CLIC Sargent said: “The interest generated by the sale was enormous, and far more than we could had expected. It shows the love which people hold for Mel B that they were prepared to pay hundreds, even thousands of pounds, for a bikini or a trouser suit.  We are absolutely thrilled at the amazing amount that the sale has raised and are overwhelmed by Mel B’s generosity.”

Julia Hutton-Potts from eBay said:  “This was no ordinary celebrity auction.  This was the biggest collection of a Spice Girl’s items ever on eBay.co.uk. We are so pleased the auction has done so well.”

Mia Woodford from BuyOnceGiveTwice said: “The amazing diversity of Mel B’s items attracted all sorts of buyers from every country to www.buyoncegivetwice.co.uk. Included in the inventory were some lovely antique pieces and some really unusual furniture and we were thrilled that in this economic climate, they all reached the estimate prices we had placed on them.”
