Lambert Smith Hampton’s (LSH’s) south coast offices hosted the region’s third annual touch rugby tournament for property professionals, raising £3,000 for CLIC Sargent.

16 teams signed up to the event, including property agents, solicitors and developers from firms based in the region. For the second year running, Lainston Homes took home the trophy having beaten Goadsby in a closely-fought final.

Graham Holland, Director at LSH’s Southampton office and organiser of the event, said: “Each year this event gets bigger and better and we’d like to thank every team that entered and participated on the day. For the third year the weather was also kind to us, so it made for the perfect afternoon out of the office – good rugby for a good cause!”

Team LSH made it through to the group stages, winning the quarter final on a golden try before being knocked out in the semis by the eventual winners. The event was generously sponsored by Orchard Homes and The Southern Daily Echo and all money raised on the day will go towards helping children, young people and their families who are affected by childhood cancer.

“It is great that so many people got involved in the tournament and raised such a fantastic amount of money for CLIC Sargent. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone from LSH as well as other professional firms in the region who took part in the game and gained a few bumps and bruises for us. The money raised from the tournament will go directly to supporting the 10 families every day that are told their child has been diagnosed with cancer,” says Rachel Williams, CLIC Sargent corporate account manager.
