JD Wetherspoon has supported CLIC Sargent since 2002 and is now its longest standing corporate partnership.
Fundraising highlights from the eight-year partnership include family fun days, sports auctions, raffles, sponsored head shaves and cycle rides, as well as the annual five-a-side football tournament for JDW staff which alone has raised £800,000.
Tim Martin said, “We are extremely proud of our association with CLIC Sargent. I want to say huge congratulations to all of our staff and customers who have shown such commitment to raising £3 million for this fantastic cause.
“We are aiming to continue the good work by raising an additional £500,000 in the forthcoming year.”
