CLIC Sargent is appealing for help after approximately £3,000 worth of donations and equipment was stolen from the office of the children’s cancer charity.
The building in Halthaies near Bradninch, Exeter was broken into on Monday October 27 during the night. The items stolen included IT equipment, a digital camera and donations from supporters.
The staff at the Exeter office were very upset by the incident which has impacted on funding for valuable services for children and young people with cancer.
Local event fundraiser for CLIC Sargent, Emma Perry, said: “I’m amazed anyone could steal from a children’s cancer charity. Staff and volunteers work hard to raise these valuable funds which make a real difference to the lives of families affected by childhood cancer.”
Approximately £3,000 worth of goods and donations were stolen by thieves – that amount would be enough to pay for three families to get away from the trauma of treatment and enjoy a relaxing holiday together at Malcolm Sargent House in Ayrshire.
If any local businesses or individuals would like to make a donation to the Charity to help fund replacement equipment please contact event fundraising manager, Emma Perry on: 01392 882 040 or email: emma.perry@clicsargent.org.uk
