A team from construction consultancy, Davis Langdon LLP has succeeded in hitting their £10,000 fundraising target for CLIC Sargent. This brings the total amount raised by the firm for the Charity to more than £165,000 over the last year.
Approximately 105 people visited the South Downs Way where The Davis Langdon team were hosting a series of sponsored challenge events.
During the day families were able to cheer along Davis Langdon sporting heroes, as they made their way across the whole of the 103-mile South Downs Way on mountain bikes in 24 hours.
Friends, families and pets also took part in the family walk and enjoyed beautiful sunny views across the Downs. For those who really wanted to stretch their legs there was also an active walk and an advanced-level MTB loop for an extra challenge.
All the money raised will be used to help CLIC Sargent continue its valuable work supporting the 10 children and young people who are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every day.
“We are delighted by the number of people who turned out for what was a great day out for the whole family. What better way to spend the weekend than getting out on to the Downs to enjoy the countryside, while raising vital funds for such an important cause,” says Simon Matthews, from Davis Langdon.
The ‘Way in a Day’ South Downs fundraising day is one of many events that Davis Langdon has run over the last year in support of CLIC Sargent.
“We are absolutely delighted with the success of the event which has helped to raise lots of money to support the children, young people and families that rely on CLIC Sargent services.
“Davis Langdon has raised a fantastic amount of money for us and we would like to thank all employees for their continued support,” says Rachel Williams, corporate account manager for CLIC Sargent.
