More than 150 runners took the Bath Half Marathon in their stride on Sunday (7th March) to help raise much-needed funds for families whose lives have been turned upside down by childhood cancer.

Altogether CLIC Sargent runners will help to raise more than £30,000 for the cause which funds frontline care professionals, as well as providing much-needed holidays away from the ward and financial grants to help cover the increased costs that families face when their child has cancer.

Kayley Waller, Running Events Co-ordinator for CLIC Sargent, said:  “The event was a real success!  We were delighted to see so many of our runners take on the 13 mile challenge round the streets of Bath, and still be smiling at the finish!  On behalf of CLIC Sargent I would like to say a great big thank you to all our runners who trained and fundraised tirelessly and the staff and volunteers who helped at our cheer points. All the money raised will help us continue to support the 10 children and young people diagnosed with cancer every day.”
