message: As a businness owner in smallish town we get approached on a probably monthly basis from local fund raisers charities etc to to possibly donate a raffle prize to raise money for worthy causes. This we do gratefully and i feel personally privelaged to be able to do so.
Last year a parent from my daughters school approached me with a small request for a friend of hers who's 13 year old son had cancer. He wanted to stage his own fundraising event to raise money for CLIC Sargent and she wondered if we could donate a small raffle prize,of course as with any charity a small donation was made. On the day of coffee morning had a spare half hour so daisy and i popped in for a coffee and cake.there were many helpers old and young i certainly couldn't tell which child was ill there was just a gaggle of enthusiastic youngsters \teenagers having a laugh on the various stands making money for a charity they felt strongly about. I asked my friend which child was ill and when i saw him i felt so humbled he had the strength and maturety that you would not expect from most adults.
I left that day feeling a great deal of mixed emotions happiness sadness and basically overwhelmed by the buzz and positive feelings of the day.......
