top of pageAccommodation for families
Each cubicle has a pull-down bed for a parent. Further accommodation is available in the Ronald McDonald House, which is located in the hospital. This offers six double en-suite rooms (one suitable for a disabled couple), laundry facilities, a kitchen, lounge and tea & coffee making facilities. Accommodation here can’t be booked in advance and will be allocated as needed. Please speak to the ward staff on arrival.
Emergency accommodation is available on wards for parents whose child is in one of the six-bedded wards. If Ronald McDonald House if full the day care area is converted into bed space to accommodate families for sleeping; they have full access to all Ronald McDonald House facilities.
Kyle Court are flats in the hospital grounds. They offer shared kitchen/bathroom facilities and are useful for occasional overnight stays if families have travelled a long distance. This accommodation is shared throughout the whole hospital and can be very difficult to get into, though Raigmore rarely has problems with providing parents with accommodation.
