Travel details to hospital

Train: The nearest station is Bristol Temple Meads which is roughly two miles away. There is a taxi rank outside the station.

Bus: There is a Hospital and University Free Bus [HUBS] shuttle service that runs regularly every 30 minutes from 6:37am to 17.51 pm weekdays. This starts at Temple Meads and follows a circular route, stopping at the main shopping centre, Bristol Eye Hospital and the Bristol Royal Infirmary (next door to the Children’s Hospital).  Timetables are available from the main reception area.

Taxi: There is a free hospital bus shuttle service (see below) and also a taxi rank outside the station.

Parking: The hospital is located in a very busy area of the city, with severely restricted roadside parking. For this reason all patients and visitors are encouraged to use public transport where possible.  Parents and visitors can obtain a reduced rate parking permit for use in any UBHT pay and display car park by asking at Main Reception.  The scratch card entitles you to six nights parking on purchase of a minimum price ticket, currently £3.  This needs to be updated on the sixth night if you stay longer.  There is an NCP car park about 7-10 minutes walk away and limited on street parking nearby, but both can be very costly. Please note that local parking restrictions are rigorously enforced.

Airport: Bristol International Airport is located to the south west of the city centre, approximately nine miles away, and is well served by the airport shuttle bus which runs from the bus station on a regular basis.
